1. Tavolata

Tavolata is a restaurant based in Belltown with another restaurant in Capitol Hill. It is great for sharing large pasta dishes with a group of friends at a communal table or grabbing bite to eat at the bar. The restaurant gives a feeling of warmth while also being luxurious. The cozy and humble interior will make you want to stay all evening and keep the drinks flowing! We love the Happy Hour rigatoni and gnocci, yum!

2. Ristorante Machiavelli

Another Italian classic. If you are looking for more traditional type fare, head on over to Machiavelli in Capitol Hill. As a local favorite for over 30 years, Machiavelli never disappoints. If you want good, reliable and delicious Italian food, make your way to Ristorante Machiavelli.  This restaurant is a capitol hill staple. We love the prawns and linguini...best to go on a weeknight early. This place fills up and doesn't take reservations.

3. Westward

Westward is a classic seafood restaurant located on the edge of Lake Union. Westward hosts a variety of meals from a luxurious brunch on the dock to an upscale seafood-filled dinner in their magnificent dining hall overlooking the lake. With it's beautiful ambience, water views and award-winning menu, Westward is a must when coming to Seattle. Make your reservations here or sit on the adirondack chairs and soak up the view.

4. Staple and fancy

Staple and Fancy is a sister restaurant of Tavolata, while still serving Italian fare, Staple and Fancy specializes in seasonal favorites. Ballard is one of our favorite parts of the city. We love getting there early and walking down Market Street prior to dinner. For dinner we recommend the tasting menu. Four delicious courses for only $60. Make sure you make a reservation, as this place is packed all year round.

5. Ba Bar

The Ba Bar is a Seattle favorite with locations in all the best places in the city. Ba Bar is a great place to meet up with a friend and catch up on drinks and Southeast Asian inspired street food. It's light, yet delicious and great for summer nights. It's casual and fun with multiple locations, Capitol Hill is still our favorite location. We recommend the Saigon chicken wings and Moscow mule. DELISH!
