Since opening in 2011, Sarah Kahn Hair has created a different kind of salon experience inside Seattle's historic MarQueen Hotel. We've built a space where authenticity meets expertise—where honest hair advice comes with real skills to make it happen. Growing up on an organic farm with a midwife mom, Sarah's passion for clean beauty comes naturally, though she's the first to call out industry greenwashing. Our approach is straightforward: we're real people who happen to be really good at hair.

As a certified Green Circle Salon, we recycle everything from hair clippings to foils and divert chemicals from waterways. Sarah Kahn

Since founding Sarah Kahn Hair in 2001, I've been obsessed with creating a space where authenticity meets expertise—where you'll get both honest advice about what your hair truly needs and the skills to make it happen. Growing up on an organic food farm with a midwife mom, my passion for clean beauty comes naturally, though I'm the first to call out greenwashing and industry nonsense. My education spans training with legends like Vidal Sassoon and Davines, but what really drives me is the genuine connection with clients who become friends—that moment when someone looks in the mirror and actually loves what they see.
At SKH, we're not about the perfect Instagram aesthetic or intimidating salon vibes. We're real people who happen to be really good at hair. Whether you're in my chair or shopping our carefully curated products (each one I've personally tested and love), my promise is simple: you'll get straight talk, expert care, and hair that makes you feel like your best self. Because while the perfect blowout eventually falls, the confidence that comes from healthy, beautiful hair is something you carry with you everywhere.

Doing hair has been a passion since I was a young gal braiding hair for snacks in middle school in my hometown of Las Vegas. After finishing my training and working for five years at a salon alongside an extremely talented group of people, I traded cactus and desert for the lush greenery of Seattle, where I joined Sarah Kahn Hair in 2016. Since then Sarah Kahn has trained me personally as I have worked along side her for the last 8+ years!
Being a member of Sarah Kahn Hair means being part of the team—and our clients feel that warmth we share! We love working together to ensure our clients leave feeling amazing about the way they look—it’s the most gratifying part of my day.
As I’ve immersed myself in the SKH world of green beauty and safe, clean products, I have become a true convert: I now know the power of nature. It makes me so happy to help clients make this discovery, as well—and to help them realize they don’t need to compromise performance for safety.
