What Does it Mean to Be a Green Circle Salon
Here at SKH, we are very dedicated to being one of the few green beauty havens based in Seattle. Our mission is to provide top-of-the-line beauty services to clients while still being environmentally conscious. Part of our effort in going green is being a Green Circle Salon. If you have never heard of a Green Circle Salon, don't worry because we can tell you everything you need to know!
What is a Green Circle Salon?
Being a Green Circle Salon means that we are a part of the world's FIRST sustainable salon solution to repurpose beauty waste. This includes anything from leftover hair color, hair foils, aerosol cans, plastic tubes and even chemical waste. The Green Circle Salon program is able to recycle upwards of about 95 percent of all beauty and hair packaging. Green Circle Salons are dedicated to keeping waste at a minimum and going green in style!
Going Green
We chose to be a Green Circle Salon because it fulfills our mission of being able to be eco-friendly without sacrificing beauty. We want to be at the forefront of a green beauty revolution and say "Hey! It's possible to be environmentally friendly and look good at the same time." We buy products from organic and locally-based beauty brands and we repurpose all our salon packaging in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. Being able to repurpose and recycle the packaging we use in the salon is an essential step in our green beauty goals.
